Stress

I thought what we learned about in class today was very interesting. Teenagers don't have a lot of stress in there lives but because they are going through so many changes in life as while, from being a kind into an adult, they are very confused. I think this makes teenagers stress leaves even worse then some adults just because they are so confused to being Whit and don't know how to cope with their problems. I found this video and i thought it did a really good job showing how teenagers deal whit their lives and all of the stress they have. I found i really cool as well because it relates teens to different objects and it makes perfect sense. It is a long video but who knows it could relate to you and you could learn something new and how to cope with your own personal stress. MOVIE

Brain Disorders

I thought all of the Brain disabilities we learned about very interesting, but the one that I found most amazing was savant syndrome. The movie we watched in class about the kid who was blind and could play the piano I thought was really cool. I found another movie about the same kid we watched in class and another music savant who could even pick out the pitches of a train that was moving. He could even play two pianos at once. Both of the boys were very disabled in their normal every day lives but when they started playing the piano you couldn't even tell they had problems. Another movie I found was about a person who could draw an areal view of any town. He took a helicopter ride over Rome and three days later was asked to draw everything he saw. He got the entire view correct. Most artist couldn't even do that. They would need a picture to look off of and would need to measure out the town on the paper first so they didn't run out of room, but the guy with the savant syndrome didn't need either. He had the view completely memorized. People with savant syndrome have amazing memories and it is a remarkable talent.

The Brain

The brain is very complex. Every part and section has a different program and is in charge of something different. As you age those parts change. For example language, when you are younger different parts of the brain work to hear someone talking but when you age and learn to speak the parts of the brain used to register the words change. The parts of the brain are broken up into two sections. The left brain and the right brain. The left brain is in charge of your math skill and organization when your right brain is your creativity and artistic ability. This movie is a test to see if you are a right brain person or a left brain person. Link. Watch the clip and see if the person is moving clockwise or counterclockwise. If you see it moving clockwise then you use more of your right side of your brain and is you see it moving counterclockwise you use your left side of your brain more. I don't get how this works it's kind of weird but i saw it moving clockwise. If you can see the girl spinning both ways then you use both parts of your brain fairly equal. Here is another clip of a really cool optical illusion. Watch this closely and see what way the people are spinning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilaHDcfA9Eg&feature=related. I got really dizzy watching that. For me they were spinning clockwise and for a split second I would see the one on the right spinning a different way. Now Here  is the same movie but it is a lot easier to tell what way the are spinning. Just like the fist video what way you see the girl spinning is what side brain you are.
Tell me if you think this works or not or if you could figure it out!
