Diseases

The movie a beautiful mind was really interesting to me. It is hard for me to understand how the mind can not realize the difference between real and imaginary. I thought it was really sad how John Nash was embarrassed in front of all of Princeton when the psychologist tried to take him. That would be a very hard disease to live with and would cause a lot of problems. I wonder if the disease is hereditary or not. It would be interesting to find out if John had these illusions when he was a child to or if the disease just occurred when he was very stressed out at college and couldn't find his own math theory.Not only does this disease really interest me but people with multiple personality's also interest me. In this video I found this girl has 68 different personality's. She created each of them to handle different situations that could be difficult for her. When she is her normal self she is blind but when another personality comes out she can somehow see. she is aware of the other people in her mind but can never tell or remember what happens when someone else is talking. Conditioning!

When I was younger my parents would use operate conditioning. I would always want to play with my friends or toys after school instead of doing my homework. I soon learned that if I got my homework done right after school my parents would allow me to do what I wanted. They used  ratio, variable reinforcements. They wouldn't allow me to do things after school every day so it wasn't a fixed reinforcement. By only giving a reward once in awhile it created a habit for me to get my homework done right after school every day. They used a positive giving reward.

Mr Dreier,
For me psychology class has been going really good! In the beginning of the term I was expecting the class to be really hard and confusion. For me it isn't super hard just a lot of information to remember. I find it very interesting as well so it is a lot easier to remember that way. The most interesting unit this term so far was learning about the diseases. That was very interesting to me and kept my attention. I like how you make the test essay. Multiple choice can sometimes get confusing and trick you, but the essays are a good way to see what we really now and prove that we have learned. The only thing that is hard to balance is studying for the test because there is so much to learn and doing homework in my other classes. Those put together can lead to long boring nights! My life is good. I had a really good Christmas and got a lot of new things.
